How we Raise it

Natural, Certified Naturally Grown
The farm was established in 1994.
Our farm has 6 acres in production.

Farm History:
I began with one acre of veggies but soon began to replace them with perennial berries, fruit trees, and wine grapes. I will be adding one more acre of grapes, and 300-400 ft of additional berries, black raspberries and black berries. I had no idea 10 years ago that things would evolve into the present farm, but it has been a lot of work and a lot of fun to present what I think to be a delicious and clean product. I have been supplying natural food stores and farm stands, restaurants for 7 years. It is a growing business with an excellent reputation. A big hit in Southern Washington County!

Blueberries: 8 varieties of Northern high bush. Very large, sweet/tart fruit, good for fresh eating, baking, or for martinis, desserts. We prune and weed by hand and only add mulch, compost, and put cottonseed meal on the blueberries. Available - July 4th though Labor Day.

Jewel Black Raspberries: Very unique from the reds with a good juice content, good mouth feel, robust, tart to sweet depending upon rain and heat. An area favorite. Available - July 4th through August 1st.

Red Raspberries: 7 varieties, size ranges from 1-2 inches long, 1/2 to 3/4 inches wide, from conical to round. Very sweet berries with distinct character, juicy, firm and great from fresh eating, baking, desserts. Available - July 4th through August 1st.

Black Berries: Expected in 2006. Variety is on large eight-foot canes, 300 plus feet. They are quite juicy, sweet to tart, depending upon heat and rainfall.

Red Wine Grapes: Under production, heavy yield expected for 2007.

Assorted fruit trees: Peaches, plums, apricots and pears, expected late summer 2006.
