Our Farm CSA is a small 4th generation family farm located
in the scenic Upper Hudson River Valley. We produce naturally
grown produce (including heirloom varieties) herbs, flowers
and spring transplants for farmers markets and an expanding
CSA membership. Our pastured eggs, hogs and chickens are
raised for local markets, restaurants and CSA's; surplus
is sold in the NYC area through the Farm to Chef Express.
We use practices that parallel or go beyond USDA "Organic"
standards for our produce. Our hens, hogs and meat birds
are pastured and rotated onto fresh grass frequently.
Our animals are fed local grain and extra produce and
they receive no hormones, antibiotics or animal by-products.
Our hens are wintered over in hoop houses where they receive
all the vegetable waste that we can find for them to supplement
their grain.
The Farm was established it 1998. There are currently
about five acres in production.
Farm History:
Jennifer Ward is a fourth generation farmer in Easton,
NY. Her father, John Ward (landowner), assists Jennifer
and farming partner Ericka Marczak. Jennifer started raising
pumpkins as a Future Farmers of America project and returned
home after attending Michigan State to start a diverse
ecologically kind farm. CSA members, a summer intern,
and friends provide help during the busy season.
